Hand-selected by Dr. Berkal, our team consists of individuals who bring unique skills and expertise to each position. Members of the team have been with Dr. Berkal for 15+ years, so not only do we have the privilege of watching young ones grow up, but we also get to build relationships with new individuals and their families over the years. Merys, Certified Dental Assistant
Merys has been helping patients feel comfortable at the dentist for over a decade. She graduated from the dental assisting program at Northern Essex Community College and still works diligently to improve her clinical skills and knowledge.
A Derry native, Merys is a big dog lover and likes to spend her free time traveling.
Carol, Practice Coordinator
Carol joined our team in April 2023. In 1999, she started as a Medical Transcriptionist and happened to find her first job in that role in a large dental practice. From there, she took on more responsibility as she learned about insurance, treatment planning, and taking good care of patients in all aspects. With her broad background, along with the skills and knowledge for keeping a dental office running smoothly, Carol makes a positive impact on our patients as well as our team. In her role as Practice Coordinator, Carol is very excited to always learn more about the clinical side of dental care. Having an understanding of the “whys” and “hows” of dentistry helps patients have a good knowledge of their choices for treatment while also calming any fears or anxiety. She supports our patients by finding answers to any and all questions so that every experience in our office meets and exceeds each person’s expectations.
Carol’s first joy in life is her family – she and her husband have four daughters and a grandson! She is a Youth Advisor for GOYA teenagers at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church and likes to relax by scrapbooking.
Christine, Dental Hygienist
Christine has been with us for almost the entirety of her 15+ year dental career, and she deeply enjoys connecting with our patients and establishing long-standing relationships. Everyone has their own unique story and journey that brought them to our practice, and it is important for her to know this so she can best support their dental needs. She is a graduate of the New Hampshire Technical Institute and has an AS degree in Early Childhood Education. She has certifications in local anesthesia and laser therapy, and she is also the safety coordinator for our office.
Christine is married and has three sons. When she is not at the office, she loves spending time with her family, especially watching her sons play college baseball. You’ll often find her outdoors taking walks with her beagle, Happy, or going to the beach. When not super busy, she likes to read and enjoy a glass of wine.
